Mandre - Mandre (1977)

Afrocentric musical cosmology from the Motown label. Andre Lewis blends the funky seventies with cosmic synth tones creating baby making music for planets.

Fun Fact: The first person to compose and perform under a futuristic persona that always wore a helmet.

Kinda like these guys:

VA - Girls In The Garage Vol. 1 (1987)

Here's one out of eight-something volumes of all girl, all underground garage groups from way back when. A little twang, a little fuzz and a whole lot of female attitude. Dare I say it, adorable.

Tomorrow - Tomorrow (1968)

Bruno Nicolai - La Dama Rossa Uccide Sette Volte (1972)

Not much is known about Bruno Nicolai except that he went to school with Ennio Morricone and then worked for him, Nino Rota and other bigwig Italian composers scoring spaghetti westerns, dramas, and horror flicks. Here's a great giallo soundtrack back when the genre was at its peak in the early seventies.

UNGAWA - 106.7 FM - Antwerpen, Belgium

Ungawa first appeared as a command that Tarzan used to communicate with that cute lil' monkey named Cheetah. And now it's here as a great radio show that airs Sundays in Belgium. If it's old, obscure, weird, lo-fi, etc. it has or will be played here. I came across this through myspace years ago somehow and managed to catch a point where you could download past shows but alas, nevermore. Here are the first four broadcasts.
