Chico Buarque & Ennio Morricone - Per Un Pugno de Samba (1970)

Back on my Ennio Morricone tip. Enough of that wannabe euro-trash faux bossa nova lounge shit, here Morricone teams up with the great Brazilian composer Chico Buarque to pour on the drama to the already sultry sounds of bossa nova and samba. Chico is phenomenal on his own, swaying between Italian and Portuguese effortlessly, but when Ennio's in your corner, the bench is full of ringers. Romantic. Introspective. Fantastical.
